Acutonics® Elective: Planetary Hand Chimes: In Ceremony, Ritual and SoundJourneys
This class will introduce the hand chimes and their location in the Acutonics® system. We will address the importance of choosing the right mallet, and methods for holding two or three at a time. We will further explore the use of Planetary Hand Chimes in both private and group ritual and sound journeys.
Our inquiry includes chime combinations and intervals, focusing on thirds, fifths, and octaves. We will discuss how to use the chimes in ceremonies and for ritual celebrations, including ones honouring the cycles of the Earth, Sun, Moon, and other planet alignments.
We will discuss creating a therapeutic sound journey and how the chimes fit in the soundscape.
Course Learning Objectives
Participants will be able to:
Express confidence, holding and striking the Acutonics Hand Chimes.
Use chimes to create a safe container and smudge and clear a space.
Use the chimes to set an intention or theme of a session.
Use the chimes on chakras, with singing bowls, the three treasures, and other applications.
Discuss the intervallic personalities of 5ths, major and minor 3rds, and their therapeutic applications.
Engage the archetypal personalities of the Acutonics hand chimes and invoke them during ceremony, ritual and sound healing sessions.
